Cristina, tudo bem? Eu faço traduções para o BabelCube. Não é bem uma tradução voluntária, pois assinamos um contrato e ganhamos uma porcentagem em cima da venda do e-book traduzido. Também não contamos com um revisor ou com feedback algum. Mas estou gostando e adquirindo experiência. Indico!

Gostei do seu post! Aproveito para compartilhar vários sites para fazer trabalhos voluntários de tradução. Para quem está iniciando é ótimo para praticar.
Oi Cristina! Acredito que quanto mais experiência adquirimos, melhores tradutores nos tornamos. Então, acho a experiência de traduzir para sites de voluntarismo super válida. Eu indico o TED Talks. Faço transcrição e legendas para eles há um bom tempo e curto muito.

Sua pergunta é muito interessante e pertinente.
Acreditamos que adquirir experiência na área é extremamente importante e necessário para crescer na profissão de tradutor.
Estudantes de tradução e/ou tradutores iniciantes podem encontrar nos sites de voluntarismo uma valiosa oportunidade para praticar. As traduções geralmente passam por um revisor e/ou editor que fornece feedback ao tradutor, ajudando-o a aprender com seus erros. Muitos sites de voluntarismo criam uma página pessoal para o tradutor e armazenam suas traduções publicadas nessa página, assim o tradutor pode utilizá-la como um portfólio online.
É muito provável que tradutores mais experientes não tenham muito tempo livre para fazer traduções voluntárias. Algumas vezes apoiam uma ou outra causa que consideram importante, traduzindo para ONGs.
Nossa sugestão é que estudantes e tradutores entrem em contato com ONGs que atuam em causas que acreditem e ofereçam seus serviços voluntários de tradução.
